Good news, AMD has just officially announced the arrival of a new chipset, the A620, which is intended to be entry-level in order to design configurations in AM5 at lower cost. This new chipset will allow users to access the power of Ryzen 7000 Series processors with the features and performance of the AM5 platform, starting at $85 US. It remains to be seen what will be announced by the various manufacturers, hoping to find models close to 100 euros.
The AMD A620 chipset will be available since March 31 and provides a reliable and optimized platform with many connectivity and bandwidth options. This includes, for example, support for DDR5 memory, AMD EXPO technology, one-click memory overclocking and up to 32 PCIe 4.0 lanes to meet the demands of the most demanding users, whether in the office or at home.
This new AMD 620 chipset is mainly aimed at processors with a TDP of 65w such as the Ryzen 7000 non-X series that we have already reviewed. The use of a processor with a TDP higher than 65w may be limited in terms of performance. So it will be interesting to be able to judge this in a test.
