Nothing is making a big statement with this launch — three new products announced at once: the Phone (4a), the Phone (4a) Pro, and the brand-new Headphone (a). Yes, Nothing is now in the over-ear headphone space too. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s new and what it means.
Nothing Phone (4a) — The Sweet Spot Gets Sweeter

The Phone (4a) builds on what made its predecessor worth recommending — solid specs at a mid-range price. Starting from EUR 349 (official Malaysian pricing TBA for 1 April 2026), the package here is genuinely competitive for the segment.
Display-wise, you’re looking at a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel at 1.5K resolution with 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness — more than enough outdoor visibility for daily use, even in direct sunlight. Pixel density sits at 440ppi, so sharpness isn’t a concern.
Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It’s solidly mid-range in positioning, but well-equipped for everyday multitasking and demanding apps.
The camera setup is where the Phone (4a) makes its strongest case. The main shooter is a 50MP Samsung GN9 sensor, with 3.5x optical zoom, 7x lossless zoom, and 70x ultra zoom. Video capability reaches 4K@30fps or FHD@120fps for slow-motion.

Battery is a 5,080mAh cell with fast charging that hits 60% in 30 minutes — enough for a quick top-up to get through the rest of the day.
The Glyph system gets a notable upgrade with the Glyph Bar: 63 mini-LEDs across 7 zones, and 40% brighter than the Phone (3a). It remains one of the more distinctive design elements at this price point — the kind of thing that gets questions at the mamak.
Colourways: Black, White, Blue, and Pink. Pricing is EUR 349 for 8GB+128GB and EUR 429 for 12GB+256GB.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro — For Those Who Want More

The Phone (4a) Pro steps up meaningfully for buyers who want more from their mid-range device. Better display, stronger processor, and a proper triple-camera setup — this is the variant for users who care about the details.
The display moves to a 6.83-inch LTPS AMOLED panel at 1.5K, now with 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness — a visible improvement over the standard model, particularly in bright outdoor conditions. Protection comes from Gorilla Glass 7i.
The chipset is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, and RAM goes up to 12GB physical RAM expandable to 20GB via virtual RAM. That’s a generous ceiling for a mid-range device, leaving room for heavy multitasking and demanding workloads. Storage tops at 256GB.

The camera system is a full three-camera setup: a Sony LYT-700C 50MP main shooter, a Samsung J5 50MP periscope telephoto for longer-range photography, and a Sony IMX355 ultrawide. Wide, standard, and long focal lengths covered — the kind of versatility that typically commands a higher price tag.
On the Glyph front, the Pro gets the Glyph Matrix — the more expressive LED system from Nothing’s flagship lineup, offering greater customisation compared to the standard Glyph Bar.
Battery stays at 5,080mAh — same as the standard 4a. Colour options are Black, Silver, and Pink. Pricing is EUR 479 for 8GB+128GB and EUR 549 for 12GB+256GB — reasonable given what you’re getting.
Nothing Headphone (a) — Yes, Nothing Makes Headphones Now
The Headphone (a) is Nothing’s first over-ear headphone, sitting in their accessible (a) series. It’s a new category for the brand — and given how the Ear (a) earbuds performed at their price point, expectations are reasonably high.
The headline features are Intelligent Noise Cancellation and a 3-microphone Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) setup for clean call quality. Full specs on battery life, driver size, and codec support are still being finalised — Nothing is keeping some details for the official launch.
If the (a) series track record is any indication, expect a product that delivers strong value for its price. Malaysia pricing for the Headphone (a) is TBA.
Malaysia Pricing & Availability — Mark Your Calendars: 1 April 2026
It’s confirmed and it’s not a joke — Nothing has officially announced that Malaysian pricing and availability for all three products — the Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro, and Headphone (a) — will be revealed on 1 April 2026.
Based on past Nothing Malaysia launches, local pricing has generally tracked close to the EUR equivalent. Using EUR 349 as a reference for the Phone (4a), a rough estimate puts Malaysian pricing somewhere in the RM1,600 to RM1,900 range — though that’s speculative until the official numbers drop.
If Nothing prices these the way they’ve done in previous Malaysian launches, the Phone (4a) Pro especially — with its triple-camera system and 144Hz display — should put meaningful pressure on competing mid-range options from Samsung, Xiaomi, and OPPO at similar price points.
We’ll be covering the Malaysian launch pricing as soon as it’s announced — keep it locked to stuffMotion.com. In the meantime, which of the three are you most interested in? The Phone (4a), the Pro, or the Headphone (a)? Drop it in the comments below.
