Subang Jaya, 2 November 2020 – The gaming scene in Malaysia is one of the most active in Southeast Asia, with 20.1 million gamers according to Newzoo. Acer Malaysia is continuously supporting the growth of the local gaming community beyond professional gamers. For casual gamers, Acer Malaysia has specially designed the After 5 Gaming League, which was first introduced in 2018. This year, the platform is once again open to executives and professionals from corporates and SMEs to summon their strength with fellow colleagues to compete for a total prize pool of RM76,000.

Teams can be formed by any executive or company to join After 5 Gaming League. The tournament is a proven platform that can strengthen teamwork as teams strategise and practice starting from team formation to the actual tournament. Registration for the league is free and is open now until 10 November 2020.

“Nothing will hinder Predator on its mission to continue nurturing the gaming community in Malaysia. During the Movement Control Order (MCO) in March 2020, we conducted the Predator Charity Challenge together with three popular Malaysian gaming live streamers and raised more than RM10,000 for charity houses and the community. Although parts of the country are now in Conditional MCO, the beauty of a gaming tournament is that it can be conducted online and this is exactly what we are doing with After 5 Gaming League this time. We are determined to provide an avenue for casual gamers to pit their talents and skills, and help encourage a healthy interest. We might even unearth a future world gamer in this League!” said Johnson Seet, Director of Consumer Business, Product and Marketing of Acer Malaysia.
