Dell Technologies announces the appointment of Saravanan Krishnan as country manager of its Malaysia operations. Saravanan succeeds Mak Chin Wah, who has moved to a new role in Dell Technologies as country manager for the Asia Emerging Markets. Saravanan brings to this role the breadth and depth of his more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for the overall leadership and execution of sales strategy to grow Dell’s business in the country.

Saravanan joined Dell in 2015 and has held various senior leadership positions. He was most recently general manager of the Unstructured Data Solutions (UDS) business across Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China (APJC) and prior to that, he was general manager of the Data Protection Solutions (DPS) business for South Asia and Emerging Markets (SAEM).

Before joining Dell, Saravanan held leadership roles in several IT companies, including Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Sun StorageTek and IBM.

Saravanan is an active member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID),  and the former Chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) for South Asia from 2013 to 2015. He holds an Executive MBA from the  Helsinki School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Information Systems from the National University of Singapore.
