KUALA LUMPUR, XX November 2022 – With the release of its new Suunto 9 Peak Pro, Suunto once again has proven that it is consistently pushing boundaries in the GPS sports watch category, this time offering sports enthusiasts not only with a sports watch they can rely on in the most extreme of conditions but also one that is ideal for everyday use in all situations. The Suunto 9 Peak Pro presents all the highlights of a Suunto GPS multisport watch that can handle any environment in an elegant design, making it an extremely tough, extremely elegant watch to have.
Built on the award-winning design of the Suunto 9 Peak, the Peak Pro edition is made with the highest grade of materials to withstand everything that is thrown in its direction – ice, sand, drops and shocks, pressure and salt. Yet, it is one of the thinnest sport watches in its class at only 10.8mm, also the lightest to suit smaller wrists for daily use.
With sustainability at the core of Suunto’s vision, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro is handcrafted with 100% renewable energy in Finland and is designed to be long lasting and repairable to minimise waste and the impact on the environment. Suunto 9 Peak Pro is the first Suunto to have its carbon footprint calculated and then fully compensated with Verified Carbon Units*. In its whole lifespan, it will create only 7.5kg CO2e, which is the equivalent of driving a fossil fuel car for 44km.
Despite this lightweight form, one can still expect a heavyweight performance from the Suunto 9 Peak Pro with its new and more powerful chipset architecture that boosts it to a new level. The Suunto 9 Peak Pro introduces a new user interface with bigger icons and digits, making it easy to operate and read during sports, allowing sports enthusiasts to focus better on what they do best.
Its battery life charges the Suunto 9 Peak Pro to the top of its class. The Suunto 9 Peak Pro offers the best battery life of any Suunto watch yet, lasting 21 days in daily use before requiring a charge, 40 hours in Performance mode, 70 hours in Endurance mode, and 300 hours in Tour mode. It connects with up to four satellite systems – GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU – and up to 32 individual satellites simultaneously. This results in greater accuracy, especially when exercising in challenging GPS conditions.
