The fans have spoken: once you’ve experienced the stunning visuals and snappy response of a high refresh rate display, you can never go back to another screen. According to a recent Samsung Members survey, more than half of the respondents cited 120Hz displays as their favorite Galaxy display feature.1

Refresh rate refers to the frequency with which your display refreshes the image on the screen every second, measured in hertz (Hz). With the ability to display more information every second, displays with higher refresh rates offer smoother visuals and less motion blur than lower refresh rate options. As a result, they make for a better visual experience whether you are gaming, streaming video, or simply browsing the web.

Samsung is at the cutting-edge of this emerging trend, featuring 120Hz displays on the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and Galaxy Tab S7/S7+. Equipped with a 120Hz Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display, Galaxy S20 FE is the latest to join Samsung’s roster of high refresh rate devices. Here’s a closer look at how these next-gen displays work and what makes them a fan favorite feature.
