Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd held, on October 8, the Southeast Asia Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ Tech Forum 2024, bringing together journalists and press from across the region to Bangkok, Thailand, for an exclusive briefing and in-depth immersion into the advanced technologies of a new all-in-one washer dryer, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™.

Samsung highlighted innovations that combine artificial intelligence and energy efficiency, as well as an in-depth experience of the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ as an appliance that creates a new category in white goods. Samsung product specialists were also on hand to explain the various innovations displayed.

The star of the event was Samsung’s All-in-One washer dryer, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™, which features innovative technologies including heat pump technology which uses heat from the air to dry clothes instead of conventional methods, reducing energy consumption and offering more efficient drying. Integrated with artificial intelligence, the AI Wash & Dry function automatically adjusts washing and drying parameters based on sensors that monitor the weight, dirt, and type of fabric of the clothes, ensuring impeccable results in each cycle and promoting water and energy savings.

AI Energy Mode also optimizes energy use based on usage patterns and operating conditions, helping to reduce energy consumption and costs without compromising washing and drying performance. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ uses up to 60% less energy during a wash cycle and up to 30% less energy during a dry cycle when using the AI Wash & Dry cycle with AI Energy Mode[1] switched on, accessible via the SmartThings App[2]. The appliance also features a larger capacity of up to 25kg, ideal for large families or those looking for practicality, allowing large volumes of laundry to be washed in a single cycle.

“We are excited to share Samsung’s latest innovations in smarter living to this region, and to offer a deep dive into the innovations that we are bringing to transform everyday life. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ is a glimpse into the future of innovative laundry care, and by harnessing the power of AI, we are redefining what is possible in the home and at the same time, empowering our consumers with smarter and more efficient home solutions,” said Daren Tay, VP & Regional Head of Digital Appliances for Southeast Asia & Oceania, Samsung Electronics.
