Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 11 July 2025 – Today, London-based technology company Nothing announced the launch of Phone (3), its first true flagship smartphone. Phone (3) introduces a bold new take on personal technology – one that’s joyful, expressive, and unmistakably Nothing.

An evolution of Nothing’s iconic design, Phone (3) reimagines smartphone interaction with the new Glyph Matrix, a bold geometric aesthetic, premium materials, and a significant performance boost.

Tech has become boring ; every phone looks the same , feels the same , does the same,” said Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing.

That’s why we took our time. After two years of focused development, Phone ( 3 ) is our answer: a flagship built to make tech feel personal again. To spark creativity, reflect identity, and give people more control over how they connect and create. At Nothing, we don’t follow trends, we build with intention, and we build with our community.

A True flagship. Nothing style

Phone (3) features a pro-grade camera system built to help creators capture their world anytime, anywhere. Get closer with lossless optical zoom. Unlock rich low-light shots with a class-leading 1/1.3” main sensor. And shoot sharp, steady 4K 60fps video across all lenses, with full optical image stabilisation. Pro-designed presets, developed in collaboration with professional photographers, let you achieve cinematic looks without the learning curve.

Phone (3) also introduces Glyph Matrix, a micro-LED display on the back that offers a smarter, more expressive way to stay connected. It helps you look up more and scroll less, showing only what matters, when it matters. And with Flip to Record, simply turn your phone face down to start transcribing and summarising in-person conversations via Essential Space, no screen needed.

Powered by the latest Snapdragon® 8s Gen 4, Phone (3) delivers next-gen image processing, faster AI and gaming performance, and improved efficiency over Phone (2). A 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery keeps you going well past a full day, with 65W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. A stunning 6.67” AMOLED display, premium materials, and IP68 rating round it out. Built to perform, and built to last.

Design: geometry meets identity

Phone (3) blends bold geometry with refined modular design. Inspired by modern architecture, its new tri-column layout adds rhythm and structure. A redesigned R-angle shape improves ergonomics, while the front features uniform 1.87 mm bezels, 18% slimmer than Phone (2), framing a sharper, more immersive AMOLED screen.

Glyph Matrix: light that becomes language

At the heart of Phone (3) is the all-new Glyph Matrix, designed to reduce screen time and streamline how users receive key information. From app-specific alerts to contact-based notifications and real-time progress indicators, Glyph Matrix lets you stay informed at a glance, without getting pulled into endless scrolling.

Glyph Toys, a playful extension of Glyph Matrix, bring quick tools and micro-games to the back of the phone. These include a Glyph Mirror, Digital Clock, Stopwatch, Battery Indicator, and Solar Clock, plus games like Spin the Bottle, all accessible and controlled through a dedicated button on the rear. Users can assign custom icons to contacts, showing pixelated avatars when messages arrive. Two ideas—Magic 8 Ball and Leveler—were co-created with the Nothing Community. A public SDK is now available on nothing.community for further creation.

A new caller ID feature will roll out soon, allowing users to long-press the Glyph Button to show the contact name or number during calls.

Nothing OS 3.5: designed for focus, powered by AI

Nothing OS delivers a fast, fluid experience rooted in utility and intentional design. Customise navigation with a distraction-reducing monochrome theme or remove app labels for a cleaner look. An expanding widget library brings new life to your lock and home screens.

While the industry rushes to bolt AI onto existing systems, we’re taking a more deliberate path, embedding intelligence meaningfully, from the start. The result: interactions that feel simpler, smarter, and more human.

With Phone (3), we’re introducing key features that mark the next step on this journey:

  • Essential Search – A universal smart search bar you access with a swipe up from the homescreen. Search across contacts, photos, files – and get instant answers too, from weather to calendar to local spots.

  • Flip to Record – Long press Essential Key and turn your phone face down to transcribe and summarise meetings.

  • Essential Space – A calm, central place for your ideas, notes, and content, all organised by AI. It’s like a second brain, and already, 1 in 5 people use it weekly.

Together, they lay the foundation for an OS that adapts to you, giving you space to create, connect, and explore on your own terms.

Phone (3) ships with Android 15 and Nothing OS 3.5. Android 16 and OS 4.0 arrive in Q3 2025. Nothing guarantees 5 years of major Android updates and 7 years of security updates.

Display: brighter. Faster. More immersive

Phone (3) features Nothing’s brightest, sharpest screen to date – a 6.67” flexible AMOLED panel with crisp 1.5K resolution. With peak brightness up to 4500 nits (HDR) and 1600 nits (HMB), it performs in any light, while Ultra HDR support brings content to life with vibrant highlights and deep, inky blacks.

A 30 to 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1000 Hz touch sampling make every interaction fluid. And with 2160 Hz PWM dimming, it’s comfortable on the eyes, day or night. The 4-side uniform bezel design pushes screen-to-body ratio to 92.89% for a truly edge-to-edge experience.

Performance: built for speed and creativity

Experience unparalleled power and intelligence with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 ® Mobile Platform, crafted using advanced 4nm technology. It features an upgraded prime performance Qualcomm® Kryo™ CPU architecture and a cutting-edge Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU, delivering significant enhancements in multitasking, image processing, and graphics handling compared to Phone (2). Performance has taken a leap forward, with a 36% increase in CPU power, a 88% GPU upgrade, a 60% boost in AI-related task processing, and 125% faster in image recognition over Phone (2). From seamless multitasking to ultra-smooth mobile gaming, this processor enables fast, responsive, and effortless experiences.

Battery and Charging: all-day power that keeps you going

Phone (3) features Nothing’s largest battery to date: a high-density 5150mAh silicon-carbon cell that comfortably lasts beyond a full day. With 65W fast wired charging, it fully powers up in just 54 minutes. 15W wireless charging makes topping up effortless.

A new chapter for Nothing

Phone (3) marks a bold new chapter for technology across product design and user experience, achieving individuality, balance, and exceptional performance. In a sea of sameness, it brings play, personality, and purpose back to the smartphone. And in the process, it reflects what Nothing stands for: empowering people to create, express, and build alongside a global community of over 3 million users.
