PRISM+ Appoints Malaysian-born, former Head of Uber Ridesharing, Jonathan Wong as CEO
PRISM+ today announced a major leadership transition with the appointment of Malaysian-born Jonathan Wong as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking the start of the next chapter for one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing home technology brands.
Since its launch in 2017, PRISM+ has grown from a display specialist into a broader smart home brand with a presence across multiple markets in the region. In Malaysia, the brand has seen consistent double-digit growth and expanded beyond e-commerce to establish a growing retail footprint across major shopping malls nationwide.
The News
Founder Jonathan Tan will step up to the role of Executive Chairman to focus on R&D and long-term strategy, while Jonathan Wong — who brings leadership experience from Uber, CloudKitchens, and Habyt — takes the helm as CEO to drive PRISM+’s next phase of expansion across the Asia Pacific.
Why It Matters
The leadership transition comes as PRISM+ continues to scale its product ecosystem and retail presence in Malaysia. The brand currently operates 10 retail outlets across major malls, including Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity, IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Queensbay Mall, Setia City Mall and AEON Mall Tebrau City, among others.
PRISM+ will further strengthen its presence with the upcoming opening of a new outlet at Imago Shopping Mall in East Malaysia, marking another milestone in the brand’s continued expansion in the country.
The Bigger Picture
With a growing ecosystem of home technology products and a rapidly expanding retail network, the leadership appointment signals PRISM+’s readiness for its next phase of growth — strengthening its regional operations, scaling product innovation, and expanding its presence across Southeast Asia.
